Alright, let's start!

I am going to "blend" Avril Lavigne.

First of all, open up Photoshop from the start menu.

Open a picture and put it to the side of the canvas. Paste in another image, and make sure they overlap.

Using the

tool with a 10px feather and antianalias box checked, lasso between the 2 pics as shown:

Press [Delete] on your keyboard, see the blend?

Optional: Now, add effects:
